The Ogun State Essay/Debate Competition is targeted at senior secondary students in Nigeria, is organized, as part of the Foundation’s efforts to promote the reading culture, boost confidence and self-expression, and encourage healthy and intellectual competition among secondary school students in Ogun state, Nigeria and across Africa.

Selection Criteria and Eligibility
• Must be a Nigerian Senior (Private/Public) Secondary school student in Ogun State. (SS1-SS3)
• Applicants must attach a scanned copy of their means of identification and Passport Photographs to the Essay.
• Applicants must upload a typed essay (not less than 750 words and not more than 1000 words) on the portal.
• The essay should be typed in MS Word and sent in PDF format
• Any candidate with more than one entry will be disqualified.
