A Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, Adebiyi Habib Foundation has mentored over 500 students in Ogun State on leadership and practical knowledge of self-empowerment. The two-day mentorship project was held at three secondary schools at three different communities in Yewa Local Government, area of the State with the theme ” Nurturing Future Leaders and Unleashing Hidden Potentials” The schools are Obalaju High School, joga-Orile, Eyinni Comprehensive High School, Ibooro, and Oluaso High School, Imasayi all in the local council area and lots more
The foundation also distributed educational materials to the pupils in order to aid their learning process.
Speaking after the project, founder of the foundation, Mr Adebiyi Habib Taiwo, said that The decision to execute this project was borne out of the desire to mentor the young generation while imparting the knowledge of self-empowerment which is needed for a person to thrive in the young minds of the students”
He said it was also designed to impart knowledge of self- empowerment in the minds of the students.
Worried by the standard of education in the local government, Taiwo called for more attention, to improve the standard of education while discouraging all forms of unlawful practices, ranging from smuggling, early pregnancy amongst the girl child, drug abuses and lots more
